The Commuting Library: Traverse City’s Book Bike

NORTE! Youth Cycling is excited to team up with Traverse Area District Library to bring Traverse City’s its first Book Bike. Much more than a cargo bike full of books, The Commuting Library is a mobile Wi-Fi spot and is able to sign up new library patrons and renew items too. Awesome, right? Read more about it on TADL’s site HERE.

Norte! is the pedaling force for The Commuting Library. We are in charge of riding it from the main library on Woodmere to its event. Think Farmers Market, parks, the beach, Friday Night Live, the Open Space, TCFF etc.

We are looking for volunteer CL pedalers! If you like books and have decent bike handling skills, we’d love to have you on Equipo Norte! Get a warm fuzzy by bringing books to the community the awesome and score a snazzy wicking Norte! Tshirt too! Real life librarians will man the Commuting Libray so you don’t have to stick around during he event.

Check out our Volunteer Calendar for available pedaling opportunities HERE.

Or email us at norteyouthcycling@gmail.com with questions or to get involved.

Gracias and Happy Pedaling.
