A Bike To School Friday For Zeke

Norte! is dedicating tomorrow’s Bike To School Friday to Zeke Goodwin, a former student at Eastern Elementary.

Zeke loved to ride his bike and was a wonderful brother, classmate and friend.

Even if you didn’t know Zeke, we’re asking students, teachers, principals and staff from across Traverse City to wear a royal blue Tshirt (or your “I Ride For Zeke” shirt if you have one) on your ride to school tomorrow.

Most of our Bike Trains will be rolling. Full list of Norte! Trains with schedules/contact info HERE.

Eastern is also hosting a memorial ride for Zeke tomorrow and has invited our community to join them. Bring your helmet and bike and meet us at Zeke’s bench by NEMO in the Eastern playground at 4. We’ll pedal a couple of laps on the Central High School track together for Zeke.

Norte! encourages parents to talk to their kids about Zeke. The hope is that we’ll not only ride for Zeke tomorrow but that we’ll think about Zeke every time we hop on our bike. The world would be a better place if we all lived a little more Zeke’s Way.

Bike Safe. Bike Happy. Bike For Zeke.
