Thank you so much for your efforts. Sunday, Dec. 15, my two friends and I did our weekly 1-1 1/2 hour walk through town and we noticed your work and commented on it a few times. Even though there was more snow Saturday night, your paths made it much easier for us to walk. It was nice to read the article in the Sunday paper to understand what had happened.

Congratulations!! Read the spread in Sunday’s paper and so thrilled to see the spirit of community is alive in Traverse City. There is a role for government but in this age of selfies, its my greatest holiday gift to see people helping people…and getting fit to boot. Keep up the good work. You have my heartfelt gratitude.

I have great concern about the pedestrian crossing at Eighth and Woodmere. I walk to the library on a regular basis and have found that the push buttons to activate the pedestrian crossings do not work, especially going southward across Eighth St. I have watched families try to cross on bikes as well as pedestrians–this is a very dangerous intersection for anyone not in a car. I have left messages with the City to no avail. This should be fixed, especially since this is the TaRT Trail and the start/end point for bike rentals. This intersection is a tragedy waiting to happen. Thanks for all your efforts to make our community walk/bike friendly and to encourage outdoor life. Hoping that your organization may have some influence to remedy this situation.
